It was the Stunner heard around the world, as ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin planted one on Vince McMahon for old time’s sake at WrestleMania 38 night two.

However, the Stunner went viral for all the wrong reasons as McMahon’s knees buckled after the kick and during the Stunner, leading to fits of laughter from Austin himself, and other fellow professionals across social media.

McMahon was reportedly happy with the segment - and was said to have been in a great mood all weekend - with a report from WrestlingNews.co claiming the boss was ‘all smiles’ afterwards and seemingly not bothered by the botch. Reportedly those watching backstage on the monitors were said to have gotten a kick out of seeing Vince take a bump once more, which at 76 years-old is a hell of a feat.

The Stunner from Austin to mcMahon was a throwback to the Attitude Era and the Austin McMahon feud - arguably the hottest angle in pro wrestling history. The pair clashed week in week out from 1998 until joining forces at WrestleMania X-Seven in 2001. From then on Austin would dish Stunners out to Vince here and there, just for the fun of it.
