Report: Backstage Reaction To WWE NXT Battleground Revealed

WWE's NXT developmental brand presented the Battleground special on Sunday, May 28 from Lowell, Massachusetts.

The show has been widely praised so far, with many calling it the best event NXT has put together since NXT TakeOver shows were scrapped following the 2.0 rebrand in September 2021. Praise for the show also extended to within WWE, with PWInsider Elite reporting that NXT officials were "absolutely thrilled" with Battleground and some felt it was the best major NXT event in some time. 

One source noted they thought Battleground was "worlds ahead" of NXT Stand & Deliver, which took place over WrestleMania 39 weekend on Saturday, April 1.
