Report: WWE Talent 'On Guard' About Vince McMahon Appearing At TV Tapings

Things are said to have improved backstage in WWE, but talent are still braced for a possible Vince McMahon return.

According to a report by Fightful Select, WWE talent are said to still be "on guard" about possible future Vince McMahon appearances backstage at TV tapings.

Sources have told Fightful Select that WWE Superstars are in a "wait and see" mode after McMahon returned in a physical capacity backstage for the Raw after WrestleMania 39 - although he has since only made changes remotely. These changes, however, are said to be "heavy alterations" - although the recently reported flexibility with regard to promo content seems to have remained.

The report also recaps how backstage morale was said to have been at an "all-time low" around Royal Rumble 2022, only to improve massively when Triple H took over as head of creative.

It has apparently been stressed again to talent that Triple H is still Chief Content Officer, but many are said to be wary of the possibility that McMahon could easily "charge back in" as he did around WrestleMania. On the other hand, some are said to believe that McMahon realised the chaos his being backstage caused last month, and that making changes from afar has been a conscious decision in response to this.
