Report: Batista Pulled From WWE Hall Of Fame

'The Animal' was originally in the Class Of 2020

Batista has reportedly been pulled from this year's Hall Of Fame induction ceremony by WWE.

Batista was announced as the headline act for the Class Of 2020 Hall Of Fame but was unable to be inducted, along with the rest of the class, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

WWE has since confirmed that the Class Of 2020 will be inducted on the same night as the Class Of 2021, on Tuesday 6 April, but reports over the weekend have suggested that Batista will now not be included.

Fightful are reporting that these suggestions are accurate and that the former Evolution member will now not be inducted into the Hall Of Fame this year. The reason is because WWE would prefer to add a personality of Batista's calibre to the Hall Of Fame in a year where fans can be in attendance to enjoy it. The ongoing coronavirus situation means fans will not be attending the Hall of Fame ceremony this year.

The Class Of 2020 for the WWE Hall Of Fame will, without Batista, see John 'Bradshaw' Layfield, The New World Order, The Bella Twins, The British Bulldog and Jushin 'Thunder' Liger inducted. So far, Molly Holly and Eric Bischoff have been announced for the Class of 2021.
