Report: Bea Priestley Leaving NJPW

Priestley is done with the company

Following his New Japan Cup 2021 victory over the weekend, Will Ospreay shockingly attacked Bea Priestley in a post-match angle.

The Commonwealth Kingpin told IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kota Ibushi he will do whatever it takes to win the gold because he loves professional wrestling more than anything or anyone. He then turned and dropped Priestley with a Cutter.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that the angle took place because Priestley has decided to depart New Japan Pro-Wrestling once her contract expires. Meltzer noted he doesn't know when exactly her contract runs out and there is a chance she could make one final appearance at Sakura Genesis on April 4 during Ospreay's world title match with The Golden Star.

Priestley made her New Japan debut during G1 Climax 30 when she helped Ospreay turn on and defeat Kazuchika Okada. She has accompanied Ospreay to the ring for many of his matches over the past several months while continuing her in-ring career in World Wonder Ring Stardom.
