Report: Big E Was Backstage At WWE SmackDown
Former WWE Champion Big E was present at SmackDown
Big E has been absent from WWE ever since picking up a serious injury in March of 2022, in which he suffered a broken neck. Aside from a few vague answers in interviews, there isn’t much news on when or if a comeback to the ring will happen for the former WWE Champion.
According to a report from Fightful Select, Big E was present backstage at last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, naturally leading to speculation of a potential return. However, the report played down the chances of this, with him of course not appearing on the show.
“Big E was backstage at Smackdown today. When we asked if he'd be returning tonight we were told ‘don't hold your breath.’”
Last night’s episode was held in Orlando, Florida, where many wrestlers frequent and live, which is likely why Big E was backstage. There were also several NXT wrestlers featured at the show both backstage in the crowd due to it being in Orlando too.
