Report: Bobby Fish Sidelined With Minor Knee Injury

Accounting for his recent absence...

Undisputed Era member Bobby Fish reportedly suffered a minor knee injury during a recent training session, according to a note made in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

In regards to recent reports of COVID outbreaks affecting members of both WWE and AEW's rosters, some notable faces were absent from this week's TV shows in both companies.

While Fish was absent from this week's NXT broadcast, Dave Meltzer notes that it's not COVID-related, but makes note of his reported injury, saying that Fish apparently hurt his knee while training in kickboxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Fish has had knee issues in the past (including six months missed in 2018, due to a torn ACL and MCL), but the indication is that this injury is minor, and he shouldn't miss too much time.

Fish last wrestled at the second of two Tuesday NXT broadcasts on September 8, teaming with Undisputed Era partner Roderick Strong in a DQ loss to Drake Maverick and Killian Dain. In total, Fish has only wrestled in five matches since the pandemic began.
