Shawn Michaels To Host Finn Balor/Kyle O'Reilly Meeting On NXT
Building to next Sunday's TakeOver...
As part of the build to next Sunday's NXT TakeOver, WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels will be appearing on this coming week's edition of NXT, in order to host some kind of meeting between NXT champion Finn Balor, and his TakeOver opponent, Kyle O'Reilly.
WWE's preview for the segment reads, "Finn Bálor and Kyle O’Reilly will go face to face just four days before their NXT Title showdown, and they’ll be joined by a WWE Hall of Famer.
"Shawn Michaels will host a face-to-face meeting between the NXT Champion and his next challenger Wednesday night ahead of their match on Sunday, Oct. 4, at NXT TakeOver 31.
"O’Reilly earned the right to take on Bálor after a gutsy performance in the first-ever Gauntlet Eliminator Match, going wire-to-wire and eliminating three competitors en route to the biggest victory of his career."
O'Reilly won that Gauntlet Eliminator match on this past Wednesday's NXT to become the number one contender. He outlasted Bronson Reed, Timothy Thatcher, Kushida, and Cameron Grimes, last eliminating Grimes via submission to secure the victory.
