Report: Brian Pillman Jr. No Longer With AEW, Door Remains Open For The Future

Brian Pillman Jr. done with AEW for now

Brian Pillman Jr. is no longer All Elite.

PWInsider confirmed that the second-generation star is no longer with AEW after his deal expired. The site were told that Pillman's contract would not be renewed at this time, making the 29-year-old a free agent.

Pillman Jr. debuted for AEW at their inaugural Double or Nothing pay-per-view in 2019. He continued to appear for them while contracted to MLW, before signing full-time in the summer of 2021.

He last wrestled for AEW on a non-televised House Rules show in Salem, Virginia on May 13. His last televised appearance was a loss to Swerve Strickland on the February 3 episode of Rampage (taped on February 1).

PWInsider's report added that the door remained open for Pillman Jr. and AEW to work together in the future.

Though he was dismayed with Julia Hart being removed from his Varsity Blondes act with Griff Garrison, Pillman Jr. noted in September that he was "very happy with just being in AEW in general".
