Report: Bryan Danielson Expected To Make AEW Return By October

Bryan Danielson could be back in AEW by October 2023

Whilst Bryan Danielson’s clash with Kazuchika Okada at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II in June saw Danielson come away with a dream match victory, he did it with one arm having broken his forearm during the bout.

The injury was significant enough to take Danielson off the road completely, with ‘The American Dragon’ set to miss AEW’s upcoming historic All In show at Wembley Stadium. Per a report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it is hoped that Danielson could make his return to AEW by October.

Danielson underwent surgery on the injury on July 3, with it estimated that it’d take three months for the injury to heal, meaning an October return would be on track.

As well as All In, Danielson will also miss AEW All Out. Danielson has already been forced to miss Blood & Guts III, with his spot in the Blackpool Combat Club vs. The Elite double-ring cage match filled by PAC.
