Report: CM Punk Leads AEW Talent Meeting Prior To Collision

CM Punk continues to hold influence backstage in AEW

CM Punk recently led a backstage talent meeting at an AEW Collision taping, according to a new report.

Fightful Select reported that Punk led a meeting prior to the July 8 episode of Collision, with a range of topics covered.

One of the main focuses of the meeting was how Collision could differentiate itself from what fans see on Dynamite, including the finishes of some matches. The meeting covered what was and wasn't good for the Collision brand. Other subjects, such as promoting AEW-related projects and shows more (especially the Fight Forever video game) were also brought up. Some of the new safety guidelines were also covered during the meeting.

According to the report, word of the meeting didn't make its way to talent who were not present or are usually featured on Dynamite. That was because a large part of the meeting was about the differences between the two shows, noting how many of Dynamite's detractors have enjoyed AEW's new Saturday night show.

It was previously reported that The Straight-Edge Superstar was taking his role as the 'face' of Collision seriously, with regards to both the televised product and the vibe backstage.
