Ever since the events of ‘Brawl Out’ and the culmination of widespread locker-room discontent within All Elite Wrestling, all eyes have been on CM Punk, with the former AEW World Champion returning to the company to head up the new Collision show on Saturday nights following suspension and injury.

The addition of Collision to the touring schedule has allowed AEW to enact a soft roster split, and a report from PWTorch suggests that Punk has taken his role as the face of Collision seriously, with Punk taking pride in putting his stamp on the TV product as well as the backstage vibe at Collision tapings, according to sources within AEW.

The report suggests that Punk is seeking to repair his damaged reputation after the events of All Out 2022 and other inflammatory comments, and after an early subtle dig at The Young Bucks on Collision’s debut episode there has apparently been little to no tension in the locker room.

Whilst no official roster split has taken place within AEW, the advent of Collision has allowed elements of the AEW roster with less than stellar relationships to be kept separate, with others seemingly open to be booked on either Collision or Dynamite. Some talents such as Malakai Black will be Collision exclusive for the time being at least.
