CM Punk's return to All Elite Wrestling will reportedly be made official in the coming days, possibly even today, according to Andrew Zarian on We're Live, Pal.

"As far as I know, CM Punk's return will be announced most likely tomorrow [Wednesday, May 17]. If not tomorrow then very, very soon, within the coming days," Zarian said.

May 17 looks set to be a major day in the history of AEW, with a new TV deal with Warner Bros. Discovery and the creation of a new Saturday night show, AEW Collision, expected to be officially announced today. The announcements will take place on TNT at some point on Wednesday before being reiterated on tonight's edition of AEW Dynamite.

CM Punk's AEW return has been rumoured for the past several weeks and it is believed the 44-year-old will come back to the promotion on the inaugural edition of Collision, which is reportedly scheduled for Saturday, June 17 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. The show will be given a tagline in 'The Second Coming' and Punk is expected to feud with either Chris Jericho or Samoa Joe upon his return.

Punk has been gone from AEW programming since All Out in September 2022 due to his torn triceps and the backstage fight he and Ace Steel had with The Elite following Punk's infamous post-PPV media scrum.
