Report: Dakota Kai Not Planned For WWE Royal Rumble

Dakota Kai is set to miss out on being involved in the Women's Royal Rumble Match at Saturday's Royal Rumble pay-per-view/premium live event from Lucas Oil Stadium.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that Kai remains in concussion protocol and she will not be travelling to Indianapolis, Indiana for Royal Rumble weekend. Kai was diagnosed with a concussion following the January 20 episode of Monday Night Raw. The former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion was rocked following a springboard missile dropkick from Zoey Stark.

Dakota Kai will return to WWE TV when she has cleared concussion protocol. How long she will be out of action is unknown.

While Kai won't be involved in the Women's Royal Rumble Match, the likes of Charlotte Flair, Lyra Valkyria, Nia Jax, Naomi, Bianca Belair, and IYO SKY have already been announced for the match. A top WWE star may also make their return in the match, while several NXT stars are already in Indianapolis ahead of the Rumble.
