Report: Debuts Planned For WWE Draft

Debuts could be on the way during the WWE Draft

WWE are set to hold their 17th draft in company history soon, with the 2023 WWE Draft scheduled to begin on the April 28 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. The draft will then continue and end on the May 1 edition of Monday Night Raw.

It has been noted that every WWE talent is eligible to be drafted and the company will reportedly finally execute plans that were originally made for the Raw after WrestleMania 39 on April 3.

According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, some talents will debut during the WWE Draft.

Alvarez tweeted on his subscription feed: "It looks like some people who were supposed to debut right after Mania will appear in the draft instead."

Who will debut was not revealed but NXT names tipped to move to the main roster include Bron Breakker and Cameron Grimes. Tyler Bate is also reportedly under consideration for a main roster call-up after his match with Dolph Ziggler on this week's Main Event received praise.

Outside names rumoured for a WWE return include Matt Cardona. The former Zack Ryder has been out of WWE since 2020 and has established himself as one of the top stars in independent wrestling.
