Steve Maclin's First Challenger For IMPACT World Title Revealed

Maclin's first defence is scheduled for Under Siege on May 26

The first title challenger for new IMPACT World Champion Steve Maclin has been set.

On last night's episode of IMPACT on AXS, it was confirmed that Maclin would defend the gold against PCO at Under Siege on May 26. Under Siege will stream on IMPACT Plus and FITE.

Maclin was having a 'changing of the guard' championship celebration on last night's show, following his victory over KUSHIDA at Sunday's Rebellion pay-per-view.

After calling out any Canadian member of the IMPACT roster (a dig at former IMPACT World Champion Josh Alexander), Maclin was confronted by IMPACT President Scott D'Amore.

They teased D'Amore as the next challenger during their verbal confrontation, before it was revealed to be PCO. The 55-year-old then took out Maclin's security detail, before exchanging punches with the champ. Maclin then bailed and watched on as PCO put two security guards through a table to end the show.

PCO defeated Eddie Edwards in a Last Rites match at Rebellion. He has never held a title in IMPACT Wrestling.
