Report: Demon Finn Balor's Return Under Consideration For WWE WrestleMania 39

Demon Finn Balor could be coming back

Finn Balor's Demon alter ego has not been seen on WWE TV since he failed to defeat Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at Extreme Rules 2021 but the persona could be set for a return.

According to WRKD Wrestling, Balor reviving The Demon at WrestleMania has been floated around within WWE.

"The idea of Finn Balor potentially being some form of 'The Demon' has been floated for WrestleMania against Edge. This was previously planned for their scrapped Hell in a Cell match at the Royal Rumble," WRKD Wrestling tweeted.

As mentioned, WWE initially looked to bring back The Demon for a Hell in a Cell Match with the Brood version of Edge at Royal Rumble. The match was scrapped, though, as Edge was busy with filming for the upcoming Percy Jackson series on Disney+. There was reportedly some opposition within the company to bringing back The Demon as some felt the alter ego didn't fit Balor's current gimmick as the leader of Judgment Day.

Balor looks set to take on Edge at WrestleMania 39 and The Prince challenged his rival to a match at the event on the February 27 edition of Raw.
