Report: Details From WWE Talent Meeting Following Vince McMahon's Return

A talent meeting was held in WWE following Vince McMahon’s return to the company

It’s been a turbulent start to the year to say the very least for WWE, with the return of Vince McMahon as Chairman, and the resignation of co-CEO Stephanie McMahon.

With Vince’s return there has been widespread speculation as to what this could mean for WWE heading forward. Whilst McMahon is only believed to be back to facilitate a potential sale of the company, rumours have abound suggesting that there is a feeling that Vince could make his way back in to run the company on a day-to-day basis.

Ahead of SmackDown on January 13, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque held a talent meeting to address rumours following McMahon’s return. Per Fightful Select, the basis of the meeting was to allay any fears that creative could change, with Triple H having been praised since taking over the role in the wake of McMahon’s exit in 2022.

Triple H reportedly conveyed the message that McMahon’s return is only concerning a sale of the company, and that it won’t interfere with or change Triple H’s creative process, nor what he has already put into place as WWE begins the road to WrestleMania 39. Triple H did reveal that he and McMahon may have discussions about creative but Triple H will make any final calls with regards to creative.

This final point was later commented on by Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer, with Meltzer suggesting that any idea of McMahon staying wholly away from creative would be surprising. Regardless, this is clearly a monumental time for WWE, and time will tell if McMahon resumes his old responsibilities within the company or not.
