Report: Dixie Carter To Appear At IMPACT Slammiversary

Dixie Carter returning to IMPACT

Dixie Carter will appear on IMPACT Wrestling programming for the first time in six years when she returns to the promotion at tonight's Slammiversary pay-per-view, according to a new report.

ESPN's Marc Raimondi stated: "Former TNA president Dixie Carter will be making an appearance Sunday at Impact Wrestling's Slammiversary pay-per-view event, sources close to the promotion told ESPN. Impact is celebrating its 20-year anniversary this weekend."

Carter was President of TNA from 2003 until 2016, when she sold her majority share in the promotion to Anthem Sports & Entertainment. Carter retained a minority share in the company but that was sold sometime after TNA's renaming as IMPACT Wrestling.

Carter often appeared on TNA programming between 2009 and 2016 and she even had an on-screen nephew in Ethan Carter III, who would later become EC3. Her last appearance on IMPACT TV came in January 2016 during the promotion's debut episode on Pop TV.

IMPACT will celebrate their 20-year anniversary at tonight's Slammiversary pay-per-view from the Nashville Fairgrounds. The show is set to be headlined by an IMPACT World Title match between champion Josh Alexander and Eric Young.
