Report: Dragon Lee Set For Major WWE NXT Push

Dragon Lee looks set to be pushed as an NXT star

WWE seemingly have big plans for one of their recent high-profile signings.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that while Dragon Lee hasn't done anything in WWE yet, "the feeling is he's going to get a big push in NXT."

Lee made his first appearance on WWE TV earlier this week at NXT's Roadblock special on Tuesday, March 7. The former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion was shown sitting in the crowd, at which point he waved to those also in attendance at the WWE Performance Center.

When Lee will make his NXT in-ring debut is unknown. Past reports have noted that he isn't set for a long stint in NXT and the feeling Lee was given is that he will be called up to the main roster in 2024.

The luchador announced on December 28, 2022, that he had signed with WWE, immediately after he and Dralistico had defeated AEW's FTR to win the AAA World Tag Team Championships. Lee was expected to start with WWE in January 2023 but visa issues prevented him from beginning his WWE run until March.
