Report: Eddie Kingston And Sammy Guevara Agree To 'Move On' After Backstage Incident

Eddie Kingston and Sammy Guevara have moved on from recent issues

After reports of a backstage altercation between Eddie Kingston and Sammy Guevara in AEW, the two have reportedly buried the hatchet and agreed to move on.

Kingston was suspended by AEW for two weeks following his part in the disagreement, and recently returned for the August 31 Dynamite. A report from PWInsider says the two sorted things at the tapings, shaking hands and apologising before agreeing to leave them in the past.

The two were scheduled to have a singles match at all out on September 4 but this has subsequently been cancelled. It was announced earlier this week that Kingston will now be taking on NJPW’s Tomohiro Ishii on the All Out ‘Zero Hour’ pre-show, but as of writing nothing has been revealed as to Guevara’s status for All Out.

AEW President Tony Khan was asked of future plans for the pair during a pre-All Out media call, and whilst Khan is not against the idea of the pair turning real-life issues into the basis for a match, he’d have to make sure both Kingston and Guevara would be fine with doing it before sanctioning it and isn’t sure we’ll see the feud resolved on TV.
