Only two months after he founded the faction, Edge was kicked out of Judgement Day on Monday's episode of Raw.

The WWE Hall Of Famer initially unveiled Finn Balor as the latest member of the stable but The Prince, Damian Priest, and Rhea Ripley soon turned on their leader and left him lying following a Razor's Edge through the announce table and a Con-Chair-To.

Edge's removal from the group came out of nowhere and him being kicked out seemingly stems from WWE's plans for Judgement Day. According to Fightful Select, WWE wanted to take Judgement Day in a "supernatural" direction, something which Edge was opposed to. It then emerged on Monday afternoon that the faction was set to undergo a "big shift" with Edge and Finn Balor on Raw.

There was some speculation that Edge departing Judgement Day could be linked to Cody Rhodes' injury since the red brand has a dearth of top babyfaces. Fightful noted they were still working to confirm if that was a factor.

Although Edge's removal appears to be a decision made at short notice, Balor joining the faction has been planned for a little while and it was noted before Hell In A Cell that the former NXT Champion was scheduled to turn heel and become the stable's latest member.
