The Rated-R Superstar will make significant dough...
Jan 28, 2020
After WrestleMania 27, Edge was forced to retire as an active performer in WWE due to cervical spinal stenosis, which meant he risked paralysis from the neck down if he kept wrestling. However, against all odds, the Rated-R Superstar returned to a WWE ring for the first time in under nine years during the Men's Royal Rumble match.
It had been long rumoured that Edge would return at the Royal Rumble, but many have speculated about how long his new run in the company will last.
Now,
Alex McCarthy at talkSPORThas revealed The Ultimate Opportunist has signed a three-year deal with WWE for $3 million per year. The 11-time World champion will receive the full annual amount as long as he performs three times a year.
In total, Edge has committed to wrestling in five matches per year and to make 25 appearances. The Royal Rumble match was his first match of the year, and the
WWE Hall Of Famer is set to face Randy Orton at WrestleMania 36, meaning we can expect three more bouts out of The Rated-R Superstar in 2020.
