Report: Extent Of NXT's Involvement At WWE WrestleMania 36 Revealed

Limited involvement for the black and gold brand...

At WrestleMania 36, Rhea Ripley will defend the NXT Women's Championship against Charlotte Flair. After winning the Women's Royal Rumble Match, The Queen set a precedent and chose Ripley as her opponent for The Showcase Of The Immortals.

This will be the first time an NXT match takes place at Mania, which had many wondering if more matches from the black and gold brand would be added to the card. Fans will have to make do with just the one bout, however, as Dave Meltzer revealed on Wrestling Observer Radio that there are no plans for NXT to have more contests on the show.

Instead, NXT's rivalries will be saved for NXT TakeOver: Tampa Bay, which takes place on April 4 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

Meltzer said: "No, the card, its 14 matches and there is no other NXT guys on the card unless of course plans change, which they obviously can at any time. But the card that's out doesn't have any NXT guys other than Rhea Ripley."
