On last week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown, NXT Superstars in the crowd wore face masks for the first time. There had previously been conflicting reports about the company's stance on face masks and an anonymous WWE wrestler told WrestlingInc. that Kevin Dunn did not want Performance Center recruits to wear face masks.
The vast majority of Superstars in the crowd wore masks on Monday's edition of Raw and Fightful Select reported face masks will be mandatory at WWE TV tapings going forward. The company sent an internal memo to all talent noting social distancing and sanitisation will also be required.
The internal memo reads: "As a reminder, wearing masks, sanitizing and social distancing will be required at the Performance Center this week and going forward. You'll be required to wear a mask upon entering and we ask that you adhere to these requirements in order to minimize risks."
WWE plans to resume TV tapings tonight as both nights of The Great American Bash will be filmed at Full Sail University. SmackDown will then be taped tomorrow, followed by Raw on Friday.
