Back on December 18, IMPACT Wrestling announced they had released Killer Kross

. The Herald Of Doomsday had previously been one of the promotion's top stars, but relations between the two parties soured in July after Kross requested a pay rise on his $20,000 per year deal. IMPACT ultimately ignored his grievances and told the former Lucha Underground star to find a second job, which he described as

"f****d up."

Previous reports

indicated that WWE was interested in signing Kross, and now Dave Meltzer has reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Triple H met with the former IMPACT Wrestling star earlier this week. The Game is reportedly "high" on Kross and with his girlfriend, Scarlett Bordeaux, already in NXT, he is expected to sign with the company and report to the black and gold brand in the coming weeks.

For the avoidance of doubt, Meltzer penned: "While not signed yet, the betting line is that Kevin Kaser, 34 (Killer Kross) ends up here. There was thought to be interest in him across the board in wrestling due to his look. Multiple sources said Kaser and Paul Levesque were to have met this week...His girlfriend, Elizabeth Chihaia, better known as Scarlett Bordeaux, is in NXT although has not been pushed on television although she did a quick cameo in an outdoor shot on one of the TV shows. Paul Levesque is said to be high on him."
