Report: Former ROH World Champion Set To Become A Free Agent

A former ROH World Champion is set to join the free agents list

A former Ring of Honor World Champion is set to be come a free agent, following the expiration of their current deal.

Per a report from PWInsider, Davey Richards is set to become a free agent in the Spring when his current deal with Major League Wrestling expires, with the American Wolf having joined Court Bauer’s group in 2021.

At one time regarded as the best wrestler in the World, Richards is best known for his run with Eddie Edwards as The (American) Wolves, with the pair holding gold in ROH, and TNA/IMPACT. Richards also held tag gold with Super Dragon and Roderick Strong in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, and Rocky Romero in NJPW, were the pair reigned as IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions on two occasions as the No Remorse Corps. 

A former ROH, PWG, and CZW World Champion, Richards took a leave of absence from the pro wrestling industry for several years, stepping away from the business in late 2017 before returning in 2021 as part of MLW. In MLW Richards is a one time MLW National Openweight Champion and Opera Cup winner, with Richards also having made a brief return to IMPACT Wrestling in 2022, wrestling at Slammiversary.
