CM Punk Shares Forgiveness Video Amid AEW Absence

CM Punk talks about forgiveness

CM Punk's Instagram Stories usually consists of photos of his dog Larry but the two-time AEW World Champion shared a video about forgiveness over the weekend which could shed some light on his possible thoughts about a return to All Elite Wrestling.

A man says during the clip:

"I've forgiven a lot of people. I love them from a distance because it's safe for me to love them from a distance. Forgive you doesn't mean you get to sit in the chair with me. You did me wrong. man. You did some foul stuff, man. You played me dirty, man. You left me hanging, now I forgive you but that doesn't mean you can hang out with me. So please stop forgiving people and letting them back in your circle to hurt you again. I forgive you but you can't hurt me no more. So I'm gonna put you at a distance and just wave at you when I walk by because you can't ride with me. I can't let your misery and your bad deeds hold my life down. No more can I let you hold my life down. Either I'm attached to you by not forgiving or you're sitting next to me because I forgave. Nah, your ass is outside the door on the other side. I'm up here living with people I can trust. So forgiveness isn't forgetting and forgiveness isn't an invitation to do it again."

Punk has been absent from AEW programming since his backstage fight alongside Ace Steel with The Elite following Punk's infamous post-All Out media scrum. The Elite have since returned to AEW following a third-party investigation, while Ace Steel was reportedly fired. Punk's fate remains unclear but he will be available to return from a torn triceps in the next couple of months, according to recent reports
