Report: "Frustration" At ROH TV Tapings

The recent ROH TV tapings reportedly caused some frustration

Ring of Honor resumed TV tapings at the end of February, with bulk ROH TV tapings occurring at Universal Studios in Florida.

The first ROH TV episode aired on HonorClub on March 2, but a report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggests there was some ‘frustration’ stemming from the tapings.

The report suggests that any frustration comes from outside of Ring of Honor, due to several independent stars being flown in for tapings and ultimately not used. Whilst the talents will have been paid equal to or better than what they would have earned from indie dates, one indie promoter told Meltzer that he ‘lost his four top guys’ for the weekend, then none of them were used.

Meltzer clarifies that the promoter was not angry and was happy for all involved as national exposure would boost any indie stars profile, but frustrations still remained.

There’s no word on when Ring of Honor plan to hold their next set of TV tapings. ROH Supercard of Honor is set for March 31 on PPV.
