Report: Further Details On The Third-Party Investigation Into AEW Backstage Fight Between The Elite & CM Punk

More on the third-party investigation

Amidst the fallout of the backstage fight between The Elite, CM Punk and Ace Steel that took place following Sunday's All Out pay-per-view, a third-party investigation has begun to determine exactly what happened.

Details on the investigation have been scarce but Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that everyone in CM Punk's locker room at the time of the altercation will be interviewed to determine what occurred. While it has not been confirmed, Meltzer believes AEW's swathe of suspensions are directly tied to the third-party investigation and they will last as long as the investigation takes.

All Elite Wrestling have suspended Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, CM Punk, Christopher Daniels, Brandon Cutler, Pat Buck, and Michael Nakazawa. Ace Steel is off the road too.

Furthermore, AEW's Chief Legal Officer Mega Parekh was reportedly in the room while the altercation took place, according to The Wrestling News and Meltzer, and her testimony could be key in determining any punishments after the investigation is completed.

How long the investigation will take is unknown.
