Report: Gable Steveson To Be Better At Pro Wrestling Than People Originally Thought

Gable Steveson Is Apparently Making Great Progress In His Wrestling Training

In September 2021, US Olympic freestyle wrestling gold medal winner Gable Steveson signed with WWE.

Since then, he’s been drafted to Raw, featured in a segment with Chad Gable at WrestleMania 38, and recently appeared on NXT to give Eddy Thorpe advice on how to defeat Damon Kemp.

Despite being signed for the better part of two years, Steveson has yet to wrestle an actual match, which has led some to speculate that he might not be taking to professional wrestling all that well.

However, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer (via WrestlingNews.co), things are looking up for the 23-year-old.

Meltzer said whilst on Wrestling Observer Radio: “I have heard from people who say that Gable is picking things up and he’s gonna be better than a lot of people originally thought.”

This is very promising news indeed, both for fans of the Olympian and for WWE, who heavily hyped up Steveson’s arrival in the promotion.

Steveson is scheduled to be in Thorp’s corner when he takes on Kemp in a Raw Underground match on the July 4 episode of NXT.
