Report: GM Mode To Return In WWE 2K22

The popular game mode is coming back!

GM Mode is set to return in WWE 2K22, according to a new report.

The popular game mode, where players control their own WWE brand, hasn't been part of a WWE title since 2007's SmackDown vs. Raw 2008. It will return next year, though, in WWE 2K22, according to Michael Straw of Sports Gamers Online

GM Mode was fans' most requested feature for future WWE 2K games and the development team have long desired to revive the mode, according to SGO.

"It was a top priority. The fans clearly wanted it, and the team knew that they add the ammo to get it approved and in," a source said.

Other sources were also bullish about the return of the mode, with one saying: "The mode will sell this game." Another noted GM Mode is "going to become the most played mode in the game, I can say that with certainty."

The revived mode will reportedly "be deeper than anything fans could've expected from a return like this."

Fans will have to wait until March 2022 to get their hands on the next WWE 2K video game. The game was initially set to be released ahead of Christmas 2021 but the title was recently delayed. A full gameplay reveal of WWE 2K22 will take place in January.
