Report: Half Of Tonight's Episode Of WWE SmackDown Will Be A Tribute To The Undertaker

The Boneyard match will air in it's entirety...

For the past week, WWE has been advertising Drew Gulak vs. AJ Styles for the Intercontinental Championship and a toast to Jeff Hardy for tonight's episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

The company pulled the preview from WWE.com last night, however, and the only advertisement for tonight's show is a tribute to The Undertaker, one week after he said he has no desire to step back inside the ring. The Phenom's Boneyard match with AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36 will air in its entirety along with other Undertaker-centric content.

Why WWE pulled the preview is currently unknown but multiple people in the company, including in-ring talent, have reportedly contracted coronavirus and the episode wasn't taped in advance. Jamie Noble, Adam Pearce, Kayla Braxton, and Renee Young have all confirmed they tested positive for COVID-19.

Tonight's episode of the blue brand will still include some new content despite the coronavirus cases as Mike Johnson at PWInsider noted the current plan for the show includes appearances from Jeff Hardy and Matt Riddle. The wrestling behemoth plans to tape the episode later on today.
