Report: Happy Corbin To Undergo WWE Character Change

Happy Corbin soon to be no more?

Happy Corbin might not be happy for much longer.

The former NFL player has portrayed his current WWE gimmick since the summer of 2021 but Corbin revealed on the Johnny Dare Morning Show that Chief Content Officer Triple H is looking to give the former Mr. Money In The Bank more of an edge.

Speaking about Triple H's role in creative, Corbin stated:

"Triple H taking over, he's bringing kind of like this fresh vibe, and you know, Triple H, he thrived in the Attitude era. Like, he is pretty much the definition with DX of the Attitude era. I think he's bringing some of that attitude and pushing the envelope, and bringing the aggressiveness back to WWE. I think it's an awesome thing because he wants to keep the entertainment as well. I'm not just a big bad guy that's tough and beats everybody up. Like, 'How can we do it and be entertaining and funny and witty?' It's pretty awesome to have him putting his touch on a lot of things and really. He's bringing a lot of fresh aspects to it, and I think it's getting people excited. It's really helping it thrive again and being back in front of people.

"He's a guy who, when I came into NXT, he was a guy who really grabbed onto me and helped develop me and create who I was. My first entrance, he brought that whole motorcycle vibe, that drudgy rock music where I walked in, and I had spotlights over my head. That was all his vision and it's cool to have him back because he has now kind of taken what I've been doing and going, 'How do we put more edge back on you? How do we make you a little more badass again?' And that feels good to have that."

How Triple H will add an edge to Corbin has yet to be revealed but the former United States Champion looks set to unite with JBL on WWE TV. Corbin was last seen on SmackDown getting into the WWE Hall of Famer's trademark limousine on September 2 and JBL is reportedly set to be on the next several episodes of Raw.

While he has not been on TV, Corbin has continued to perform at house shows, last competing on October 15 in a loss to Madcap Moss.
