Only hours after he claimed he would only be involved in WWE creative "on a higher level" and wouldn't be "in the weeds", Vince McMahon had a heavy presence on the Raw after WrestleMania 39 on Monday, April 3, WrestleVotes reported ahead of the show.

"I'm hearing that for the first time in months, tonight's show has a large Vince McMahon feel and presence to it. Big weekend for the boss continues," WrestleVotes tweeted.

Last-minute rewrites had also become less common since Triple H became WWE Chief Content Officer in July 2022 but that wasn't the case tonight, with the show undergoing a "ton of late changes", according to Fightful Select. The That's Freakin' Wrestling Podcast were sat behind the WWE production team at Raw and they claimed the team received three production sheets before the end of hour one of Raw, including two after the show got underway.

Fightful Select further noted that Vince McMahon was backstage at Raw and he was at the Gorilla position for the opening segment. It is unknown if he was there for the whole of Raw, though.

Part of the last-minute changes to Raw saw two Triple Threat matches to crown a new number-one contender for the Raw Women's Title be scrapped. The matches planned were Liv Morgan vs. Dakota Kai vs. Piper Niven and Candice LeRae vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. IYO SKY. The matches were replaced by a WWE Women's Tag Team Title number one contenders match that saw Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez defeat Dakota Kai and IYO SKY. Omos vs. Elias was also added to Raw at the last minute.

Vince-isms also cropped up during Monday Night Raw, with Bad Bunny being taken to a "local medical facility" instead of a hospital after he was chokeslammed through the announce table on Raw by Damian Priest.
