Report: IMPACT Wrestling's Plans For The Motor City Machine Guns Revealed

Spoilers inside...

At Slammiversary 2020, The Motor City Machine Guns returned to IMPACT Wrestling for the first time in eight years and defeated Zachary Wentz and Desmond Xavier of The Rascalz. Later on in the show, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin challenged The North to a match for the IMPACT Wrestling World Tag Team Championships on this week's episode of IMPACT!.

Shelley and Sabin will be going straight back to the top of the mountain as Fightful Select reported the plan is for The Motor City Machine Guns to defeat The North tonight. This will kickstart their second reign as IMPACT Wrestling World Tag Team Champions.

The popular team's first reign began back at Victory Road 2010 when they defeated Beer Money, Inc. They held the titles for 182 days before losing the straps to Bobby Roode and James Storm at Genesis 2011.

Tonight's episode of IMPACT! will also mark the return of EC3. The former IMPACT Wrestling World Champion briefly appeared at the end of Slammiversary and was one of four former WWE Superstars who either returned or debuted in the promotion on July 18.
