Report: Injured Talent Expected To Make AEW Return Soon

A popular AEW star is reportedly close to a return

A popular All Elite Wrestling star is reportedly close to a full in-ring return after being on the injured list since mid-June.

Per a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer, Bandido is nearing a full in-ring return, with the popular luchador having had his arm cast removed and the supporting pin aiding his recovery taken out two weeks ago following successful surgery in July.

Bandido has been out of action since June with a broken wrist, with his last match in an AEW ring coming against Konosuke Takeshita on AEW Rampage - recorded June 16. Bandido was originally scheduled to return in September, so this report suggests that he is on track.

After Rey Fenix was ‘pulled’ from the Stadium Stampede match at All In, reports suggested that Bandido was considered to take his place in the 12-man brawl, although it was later revealed that Fenix was never scheduled to take part in the match as AEW were aware of his situation, and always intended for the bout to a be a five-on-five affair.
