Plenty of interesting names backstage at AEW Dynamite
All Elite Wrestling had several visitors for the August 16 edition of Dynamite in Nashville, Tennessee.
According to Fightful Select, former WCW World Heavyweight Champion and Hollywood actor David Arquette was backstage at Dynamite, and his presence at the show has since been confirmed by RJ City. It appears Arquette was simply visiting but he did almost wrestle in AEW, revealing that he pitched a match with Cody Rhodes. The pitch didn't get off the ground as TNT reportedly wanted Arquette to pay for the match.
Lana (AKA CJ Perry) was also backstage at Dynamite, visiting the show with Miro. The married couple live in the area. She has not been involved in pro wrestling since her WWE release, but she was booked to return at the Wrestling Entertainment Series show promoted by the Authors of Pain that never happened.
Summer Rae was also at Dynamite, seemingly visiting as well. She has previously expressed interest in working for AEW. Her most recent pro wrestling appearance came in 2022 when she was an entrant in the Women's Royal Rumble.
