Report: Jake Atlas Done With AEW Following Arrest

Jake Atlas won't be back in AEW

Jake Atlas is not expected to return to All Elite Wrestling following his arrest for domestic battery, according to a new report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful

Fightful were told on Tuesday that Atlas would not be returning to AEW. The former WWE talent was reportedly only on a per-appearance contract despite receiving the 'All Elite' graphic and his deal was paused when he suffered a torn ACL back in January.

Atlas made his AEW debut following a brief retirement from professional wrestling at the December 29, 2021, Dark: Elevation taping. He then suffered a torn ACL in his second match when he faced Adam Cole on the January 5 edition of Rampage.

Atlas was arrested and charged with misdemeanour battery of his long-term partner on May 23 in Orlando, Florida. The police report stated Atlas became "physically aggressive" after he and his long-term partner went to "a female friend's house to engage in sexual activities." Atlas grew upset after his partner allegedly showed "half more attention" to the female friend which caused a verbal argument that turned physical after Atlas charged at his partner.

The victim then left the building but Atlas followed and scratched them. Upon police arriving at the scene, the 27-year-old was arrested. Atlas will appear in court on June 28.
