Report: Jeff Hardy Just On 'The Backburner' In WWE

The Charismatic Enigma has been on the losing end of several matches recently

WWE fans have noticed that Jeff Hardy has become somewhat of an elder ‘jobber to the stars’ recently, with the former WWE Champion taking a squash loss to a returning Jinder Mahal on this week’s WWE RAW.

Hardy has been mainly used on WWE Main Event recently, leading many to believe he was on his way out of the company, but Hardy has at least a year left on his WWE contract if not longer.

Now according to a report from Wrestlingnews.co, Hardy is simply ‘on the backburner’ as part of a talent rotation, and is not getting buried. Similar to how Humberto Carillo and Angel Garza have been on the sidelines for a while and are now being reintroduced to storylines and pushed, the same is believed to be in place for Jeff.

It’s also worth noting that Jeff is 43 years old, and whilst he can still go in the ring, after a lifetime of hard bumping you can understand WWE wanting to give him somewhat of a lighter in-ring schedule to recharge his batteries.
