Report: Jeff Hardy Was Backstage During WWE SmackDown
The Charismatic Enigma's return draws closer...
Jeff Hardy hasn't graced our TV screens since he and his brother Matt were forced to relinquish the SmackDown Tag Team Championships on the April 30 episode of SmackDown, as Brother Nero was forced to take time off to undergo knee surgery.
While his knee is seemingly healed, Hardy has remained on the sidelines because of his ongoing personal health problems. The Charismatic Enigma was arrested for a second time in four months back in October 2019 for driving while intoxicated in Moore County, North Carolina.
Hardy's return continues to draw closer, however, as Mike Johnson at PWInsider reported that Hardy was backstage during last week's episode of SmackDown in Glendale, Arizona and is scheduled to be at this week's post-Super ShowDown episode. The former WWE Champion will then be presented as one of the top babyface stars on the blue brand alongside Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan.
Hardy's return seemed imminent a couple of weeks ago as having worked with WWE to address his health problems, he was scheduled to be at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida to be evaluated in the ring.
