Jeff Jarrett and Conrad Thompson could be set to work with Mexican promotion AAA, according to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Dave Meltzer noted that on the My World with Jeff Jarrett podcast, Thompson stated that the two would be visiting Mexico in a couple of weeks. He did not say the specific nature of their business there.

Thompson has stated in the past that he is not looking to start up a promotion, while Jarrett has a history of trying to secure backing for new promotions. Both men were heavily involved in the Ric Flair's Last Match pay-per-view, which was done in conjunction with the Starrcast V festival.

Double J did an angle with AAA's Latin Lover earlier this year, but it was never followed up on because Jarrett was re-hired by WWE to work as Senior Vice President of Live Events, before being released by WWE last month.

Considering his current free agency and long history with AAA, Meltzer said that he wouldn't be 'surprised' to see Jarrett work some of their big shows.

The report added that no deal between the sides is done yet, but that the company are wanting to work with Thompson in order to open up the U.S. market. AAA have long wanted to run shows in the United States.
