Report: John Cena's WWE WrestleMania 39 Opponent Revealed

Find out John Cena's WWE WrestleMania 39 opponent below!

John Cena's opponent at WWE WrestleMania 39 is "locked in", according to a new report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The 16-time world champion is currently in Australia filming Ricky Stanicky but he will be back in the United States in time for the Showcase of the Immortals. Not only that but Cena could see himself winning a title at Mania as he is scheduled to face Austin Theory at SoFi Stadium.

Theory is currently the United States Champion, although he will defend the gold in an Elimination Chamber Match at the February 18 pay-per-view so he may well drop the belt there.

Initial reports noted that Cena was scheduled to face Logan Paul at WrestleMania. Those plans have since seemingly changed, though, with Paul looking to be in line for a match with Seth Rollins at the Show of Shows after he eliminated the former Universal Champion from the Royal Rumble.

Cena did film a backstage segment with Theory at the December 30 edition of SmackDown. That segment is yet to air.
