Report: John Morrison Signs With WWE

The former Intercontinental Champion is said to be returning to WWE.

John Morrison - also known as Johnny Nitro, Johnny Impact, and Johnny Mundo - is set to return to WWE, according to a report from PWInsider.

Morrison won the third season of Tough Enough, and spent time in OVW before debuting on the main roster in 2005. In that time he won various titles, including three reigns with the Intercontinental Championship, various Tag Team Championship reigns (three alongside The Miz and two with MNM tag partner Joey Mercury), and one stint with the ECW Championship.

Upon leaving WWE in 2011, Morrison wrestled in various promotions under a variety of names - sometimes even under his real name of John Hennigan. He won the Lucha Underground Championship as Johnny Mundo, and the IMPACT World Championship as Johnny Impact.

Morrison has also pursued a television career outside of wrestling, appearing in series such as GLOW and Shameless, as well as reality show Survivor.

WWE are yet to comment on the matter, but we'll keep you updated as and when they do.
