Report: Kairi Sane Not Expected To Make Her WWE Return For Months

Kairi Sane’s WWE return not expected for months

News emerged recently that Kairi Sane is set to make a sensation u-turn and return to the WWE, with the ‘Pirate Princess’ rejoining the company a year and a half after first leaving.

Originally it was believed that Sane could return to WWE television, this week, but a new report from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio suggests that a WWE return for Sane could be months away:

"Maybe November," Meltzer said regarding a return. "She's got two more dates in Japan I think she is scheduled for… she's coming back.”

After returning to Japan to work as a WWE ambassador in 2020, Sane would officially leave the promotion in late 2021 after the expiration of her deal, and using the name KAIRI as she competed in Stardom and for NJPW’s newly created women’s division.

Despite reports of KAIRI returning to WWE, the former NXT Women’s Champion revealed that she will wrestle for All Japan Pro Wrestling on September 8, teaming Saori Anou to take on Unagi Sayaka and an as-yet unannounced partner.
