Report: Kairi Sane Returning To WWE

Kairi Sane (AKA KAIRI) is on her way back to WWE. 

According to PWInsider Elite, Kairi Sane has come to terms with WWE on returning to the company. Her return is also said to be imminent and she could resurface on WWE TV as soon as this week. There is no word on WWE's plans for The Pirate Princess, but she was previously connected with Asuka as The Kabuki Warriors so they may well link up on Friday Night SmackDown. 

Sane's first run in WWE began in 2017 and she went on to win the Mae Young Classic before embarking on one reign as NXT Women's Champion. Sane then headed to the main roster, where she experienced further success, winning the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles with Asuka. 

Kairi decided to head back to Japan in 2020 and she served as a WWE ambassador until her contract expired in December 2021. Sane then returned to World Wonder Ring STARDOM as KAIRI and she was the inaugural IWGP Women's Champion. KAIRI left the promotion in March 2023, announcing she was a free agent. 

Sane didn't rule out a WWE return earlier this year, noting the door was always open for her to rejoin the organisation.
