Report: Kevin Owens To Appear On This Week's NXT

KO will be in the house...

In his long ongoing rivalry with Shane McMahon, Kevin Owens was fired by "The Best in the World" on SmackDown last week.

In the aftermath, Owens tweeted an alpha-numeric reference to the letters N-X-T, since in storyline terms, he's free to go anywhere except for SmackDown.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported via the site's Elite section that Owens is set to appear on this Wednesday's two-hour edition of NXT.

"The expectation is that Kevin Owens will be in Orlando this week on September 18th and he will appear for the NXT brand," said Johnson. "Whether he’s there for a short period of time or it’s a long-term thing I don’t know, but the expectation is that Owens will be part of the Wednesday NXT episode on September 18th.”

A former NXT champion of five months back in 2015, Owens is most certainly being used to shore up the star power for when the brand moves to its two-hour time slot on USA Network, beginning this Wednesday at 8 PM EST.
