Report: Lilian Garcia Moving To WWE SmackDown

WWE are set to carry out a shake-up of their ring announcers.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that Lilian Garcia is expected to be the ring announcer on tonight's episode of Friday Night SmackDown and the belief is she will be on announcing duties for WWE's blue brand moving forward. Alicia Taylor will be moving to Monday Night Raw as the ring announcer beginning with the show's premiere on Netflix on January 6.

Lilian Garcia made her full-time return to WWE in October 2024 following Samantha Irvin's departure from the company. Garcia previously worked for WWE from 1999 until 2009 and then from 2012 until 2016.

Alicia Taylor moved to the main roster earlier this year as the ring announcer for SmackDown. She had previously been the ring announcer for WWE NXT since 2019.

Raw's premiere on Netflix will also coincide with a change to WWE's commentary teams. Monday Night Raw will consist of Michael Cole and Pat McAfee, while Joe Tessitore will be on play-by-play duties on SmackDown alongside Corey Graves and Wade Barrett.
