Report: Lucha Bros Signed New AEW Deals During Summer

Will be sticking around for a bit...

Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero M appear to be sticking around with All Elite Wrestling, based on a report from Bill Pritchard of WrestleZone.

Pritchard reports that The Lucha Bros signed new AEW contracts on August 31, which was the date that their old deals reportedly expired.

According to the report, it was never a situation where the brothers were on the verge of leaving AEW. The new deals reportedly keep to two with AEW well into 2021.

Fenix and Penta have been a part of AEW since its launch, building a rivalry with The Young Bucks that led into a match at the 2019 Double or Nothing. The Bucks retained the AAA Tag Team titles in that bout, only to lose them to the Lucha Bros in a ladder match at All Out that August.

Lately, the two have been reunited with Pac, with whom they collectively formed Death Triangle with earlier in 2020 (before Pac was kept away due to travel restrictions).

Fenix is scheduled to challenge Kenny Omega for the AEW World Heavyweight title on December 30, as part of night one of AEW's New Year's Smash.
