Speculation has been rife for several months, but it looks to finally be confirmed that AEW have signed a major act. The New Day’s Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods parted ways with WWE earlier this year after having refused a new deal that would have seen them reportedly face a 50% pay cut, leading to rumours of AEW interest and heavy expectation that they’d sign with the company.
Fightful Select have now reported that they’ve confirmed “Kofi” and “Austin Creed” have officially put pen to paper on an AEW contract and will be heading to AEW All In: London 2026. It is noted that a deal came together around two weeks ago, with nothing having been signed before that, with talks engaging and a deal being worked out between the two sides. The report notes that they will be handed a new team name and are set to team with Swerve Strickland as the wild card team during All In’s Trios Royale Roulette for the AEW World Trios Championships.
PWInsider also revealed over the last 24 hours that Kofi & Creed were in London, serving as further confirmation of their impending AEW arrival.
